Raised $250 of $1,500 Goal
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2020 Falmouth Road Race to support Compassionate Care ALS!
For the past several years, I have watched one of my high school track teammates run Falmouth to support CCALS after loosing her grandfather to the disease. I have donated to their team because I saw how much CCALS did for her grandfather and her family. Last year I decided to challenge myself to help the team raise $1500 towards their goal and even though it was virtual, it was a rewarding experience!
Another reason why I have decided to support this cause is based on my experience as a Physical Therapist student. I had the opportunity to work with several patients with ALS and witnessed how devastating ALS is. As a student, I did my best to show these patients care and compassion and I truly connected with these patients.
In addition, to my experience as a student, one of my favorite college professors sadly passed from ALS. I was fortunate enough to visit with him several times before his passing. He was such a brilliant mind and left this earth much too soon.
I am excited to run this race’s seven miles in support of an organization that means so much to me. Funds raised from Falmouth Road Race allow Compassionate Care ALS to provide direct services and durable goods to ALS patients, their families, and their caregivers. Please give generously and assist us in making a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS!
