Raised $1,908.00 of $1,500 Goal
As a resident of Falmouth, I have decided to run for a charity for the very first time for a cause close to my heart. I am running to raise $1,500 for Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS), an incredible organization right here in our town, in honor of my friend Katie Silvestri.
Katie and I share a bond that goes back to the beginning of her journey into motherhood. We gave birth to our daughters just 12 hours apart, bonding immediately when we met during those early postpartum weeks. But only three months later, our worlds shifted when Katie was diagnosed with ALS.
Today, ALS has taken Katie’s voice and her ability to move and breathe on her own. Yet, she continues to parent her daughter, Sophia, with incredible grace, remaining fiercely engaged in the fight to find a cure.
I am deeply grateful for the health and physical ability to run these miles. I am using my footsteps to share Katie's story and raise vital funds. CCALS provides life-changing resources for families navigating this disease—offering equipment, educational opportunities, health insurance guidance, and caregiver support. Please consider donating to help support families living with ALS.
With gratitude,
Emily
