Dear Friends, Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2026 Falmouth Road Race to support Compassionate Care ALS! I am running the Falmouth Road Race for my second time in memory of my dad, Tom Lavin, who passed away in June 2023 after a courageous seven-year battle with ALS. During my dad’s illness, Compassionate Care ALS not only provided my family with the equipment and services necessary to make my dad’s life more comfortable and accommodating, but this incredible organization also provided invaluable support and guidance to my family while we attempted to navigate this challenging and devastating disease. Prior to his passing, my dad encouraged me to run the Falmouth Road Race in support of Compassionate Care ALS, as the race embodies so much of what my dad exemplified during his life: physical endurance, mental toughness, and the desire to give back to those in need. In honoring his request, I am excited to run the seven miles again this year in support of an organization that has done so much for my family and so many other families affected by this cruel disease. Funds raised from the Falmouth Road Race allow Compassionate Care ALS to provide direct services and durable goods to ALS patients, their families, and their caregivers.
