Who we are
Our team name honors Captain John D. Dooley (Mass Maritime ’79, BRRHS ’75). Following John’s ALS diagnosis in April 2024, we were introduced to the incredible community at CCALS. For over two years, they have walked alongside us, helping John and our entire family navigate the complexities of this disease with grace, expertise, and unwavering support—all at no cost to us. We are proud to support an organization that has given us so much. Our team is made up of people who love John and the Dooley family members.
Why we run
The Falmouth Road Race has been a staple in our lives since John’s college days, beginning when his mother—the beloved Patty (aka Nana Pat)—purchased her summer home on Harrington Street. Over the decades, our family has been everything from runners and spectators to “post-race party crashers.” This year, Captain’s Crew is back on the course to turn this lifelong tradition into meaningful action.
How You Can Help
Funds raised directly allow CCALS to provide vital services and specialized equipment to patients and their caregivers. Please consider giving generously to help us hit our goal and make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by ALS.
Thank you for your support and for being part of the Crew!
