Thank you for visiting our team fundraising page for the 2020 Falmouth Road Race to support Compassionate Care ALS! Jim’s battle with ALS was an incredibly painful journey for him and everyone around him, but thankfully we had the support of CCALS (Compassionate Care ALS). They helped us every step of the way , providing emotional support as well as tactical support – linkage to additional services and assistive devices. It started with a booklet called “Bitterness is not an option” and ended with their helping me link Jim’s wheelchair ramp, Tobii (eye gaze speech device) , Hoyer Lift, and other big items with people who need them and removing them for me.

Just because Jim is now free of ALS does not mean our work is done supporting the agency who gave him so much help.

We are excited to run the seven miles in support of an organization that means so much to us. Funds raised from Falmouth Road Race allow Compassionate Care ALS to provide direct services and durable goods to ALS patients, their families, and their caregivers.
